What is space for all ?
Space for all is an educational challenge pack that celebrates the lives, achievements, and contributions of trans scientists. Through a range of challenges and activities, participants can explore their stories, discover how people from all backgrounds have shaped our understanding of the world, and recognise science as a tool for curiosity, exploration and learning that belongs to everyone.
Why does this campaign exist?
We believe that fun, educational and explorative spaces should be available to all, and that by building confidence in interaction with scientific fields, individuals will feel more comfortable with challenging misinformation and the weaponisation of science as a whole.
Guiders Against Trans Exclusion (GATE) aims to achieve these objectives by allowing individuals to read about the inspiring scientists highlighted within our challenge pack, gain confidence in challenging misinformation, and interact with educational activities based across their various fields.
All resources aim to be fully adaptable to all age ranges and abilities so that anyone can interact with activism at their own comfort level, while also allowing for challenging and pushing that comfort zone too.
Our aims are:
Raise awareness
To raise awareness of the contributions trans scientists have made towards the world we live in.
Motivate
To motivate individuals to interact with science across multiple fields of research.
Build confidence
To build confidence within individuals to reclaim science as a valuable tool for exploration for all.
