What is craftivism?

Craftivism is a time honoured tradition of using craft to show solidarity towards or help progress activist movements. Since the start of the suffragette movement, hobbies and skills as creative tools have been used to drive social and political change in everyday life.

How can I get involved ?

From protest signs and street art to jewellery and pins, expressing your morals through art, craft, and design is a fun and creative way to show your support and increase visibility for a shared movement.

Now it’s time to pick up your paintbrushes and get out the crochet hooks and create something that you can show off at protests, online, or even to decorate your home.

Think about what crafty skills you have up your sleeve, pick one of our challenges and get creative with your activism today.

Make sure to take pictures of your progress and send them in via our website so we can see all of your wonderful creations!
